# AnimFuse

AnimFuse combines two Humanoid animation clips by body region, lets you edit the resulting pose directly, and bakes everything as a standalone, retargetable `.anim` clip.

## Key Features

* Blend two Humanoid animation clips into one animation
* Built-in Humanoid pose editing for the torso, spine, chest, head, arms, hands, legs, and feet
* Independent Clip 2 influence for Body, Head, Arms, Legs, and Fingers
* Master influence control for quickly adjusting the complete blend
* Real-time animation preview
* Clamp, Loop, Stretch and Loop Clip 1 + Stretch Clip 2 time mapping for clips of different lengths
* Independent root position and root rotation sources
* Preserve or remove root translation and rotation with in-place options
* Visual XZ root-motion trajectory
* Automatic or custom output frame rate from 1–240 FPS
* Copy Clip 1 animation events or omit them
* Unity Undo/Redo support for all pre-bake settings
* Bake standalone, retargetable Humanoid `.anim` clips
* Editor-only workflow with no runtime component required

## Quick start

1. Open **Tools > AnimFuse > Animation Blender**.
2. Assign the base animation to **Clip 1**.
3. Assign the animation you want to blend from to **Clip 2**.
4. Assign a Humanoid **Preview Character**.
5. Blend the body regions you want and edit the resulting pose.
6. Preview the animation and configure root motion if needed.
7. Click **Bake Animation** to create a new `.anim`.

## Explore AnimFuse

#### Animation blending

Combine two clips with independent influence over the body, head, arms, legs, and fingers. Control time mapping and root motion, then preview the result in real time.

Read the [Animation Blending guide](/animfuse/animation-blending.md)

#### Pose editing

Refine the blended animation using Humanoid controls for the torso, spine, chest, head, arms, hands, legs, and feet. Every pose edit is visible in the preview and included in the bake.

Read the [Pose Editing guide](/animfuse/pose-editing.md)

## Baking

AnimFuse bakes the complete blend, pose edits, and root-motion settings into a standalone Humanoid `.anim`. The generated clip remains retargetable and does not rely on skeleton-specific Transform curves.

## Current limitations

* Humanoid clips only
* Output is a Unity `.anim`; FBX export is not currently available
* Additive, mirrored, and Translate DoF clips are not supported.
* Extra bones, transform-path animation, blend shapes, and object-reference curves are not baked
